Sweet words

One afternoon  on my way home from work I noticed a churches’ marquee with the words “use sweet words you will most likely eat them later.” This thought really hit home.

When I was twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, pretty much during my whole twenties I was sure that if I was right I could speak any way I wanted to some one. Now I am no longer in my twenties and I have learned two things among others one is the definition of humility and the other is how you will be made to eat your words. Some call it “eating crow” or “crossing burnt bridges”. What I have noticed most about humility is that it is unavoidable and the older you get it seems the more frequent you will experience it.

I often wonder if I could somehow record all my conversations for a week and replay them if I would be enjoying a sweet meal or something  sour and bitter. The thought makes me smile a little and think a lot.

What do you think?

Here is a cool picture of some really good looking cheesecake cup cakes (my girlfriend can really make some good ones!)

  1. does this mean that you wanted cheesecakes instead of cookies last night? 🙂

  2. No the cookies were great
