“There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.”  I thought about using that name as the title for this blog post. There are really two schools of thought on this one is that of a closed system. The law of Conservation of energy teaches us that, we live in a closed system. Nothing is created or destroyed only changed or transferred.

The law of Conservation of energy has been and is challenged by of course quantum physicists.  As well as the devoutly religious. Both the big bang theory and most religious doctrines point out that at the beginning of everything there was nothing, then a bang and everything that ever was or ever will be was formed.

The Law of conservation would then be violated because something came from nothing. There was indeed a big massive “free lunch”.

Both ideas have hope in them. The law of conservation lets us know that everything we need or will ever need is available we simply must learn to harness whatever this is, therefore education and hard work are important.

The idea that something can come from nothing inspires hope because if we are in need or lacking we simply need learn how and we can create what is needed to help ourselves. Therefore education and hard work are important.

There is a common theme, despite where you land in the debate. No matter what you do in life or where you are in the world. No matter how many free lunches you plan on eating. Education and hard work are important.

Never stop learning, never stop working!!

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

– Walt Disney
