But I will know

Saturday the local soup kitchen had a rather weak turn out. the weather was pretty rough out between the hours of 5 and 7 pm last Saturday and when the majority of your clients are walkers you can’t expect many of them to brave the rain to get some food, but five did. Most of the local destitute seek some shelter when the rain comes down like it did last Saturday.

We served the five who came out and then waited. When 7 rolled in we started cleaning. I am not sure why but I was contemplating only sweeping the floors and shrinking on my moping duties. I began to consider how no one would know if I didn’t do it. The floors looked ok, but it is part of my job and I would know it wasn’t done.

It is important to never sell yourself short. I spent a little longer in the kitchen on that Saturday but when I was done I knew I had completed the job and there is much to be said for knowing you did all that you should have.

We should always do our best and complete job no matter who the audience and aren’t you one of the most important people in the audience?

I think so. If you don’t agree get to know yourself a little better.
