Who says you can’t

This weekend I was able to go to Huntsville Alabama and visit the U.S. Space and Rocket center. Every since I was a child I have been amazed at space. In 1990 I was in high school and marveled as I watched on the news the launch of the Hubble telescope. Every morning before work I log on to the internet and get a different view from space via the hubble telescope images. to see the birth of a solar system or the destruction of a star there on my Ipad just sends chills down my spine. So I may not need to type this but I was a little excited. I was going to get a chance to see the space an rocket center.

I was not disappointed. The center was incredible! there was one of the Apollo rockets on display all three stages seperated, a mock up of the sky lab, an IMAX movie about the Hubble telescope, and a mock up of the Atlantis space shuttle (to scale).  On top of all this there was also an exhibit called Da Vinci: The Genius.

The exhibit was something to see. My respect for Da vinci, has always been high but the exhibit really brought to light the mans contributions to the world. It seemed fitting to have this exhibit on display in parallel to all the exhibits involving space travel. Men and women told by many that man cannot fly let alone leave the earths atmosphere but their heads together and flew to the moon.

I could fill pages with what Da Vinci accomplished. He truly was a renaissance man. In each page you read there would be one after another life lesson, that can be learned but. I am convinced that, the most potent life lesson that Da Vinci and the space program provide is one of the power of the human spirit.  You can do anything.

Every time I consider what mans limit is I am shocked by someone who wasn’t told about limits. You may feel like you are against a wall, or stuck but let me leave you with this gem

There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.
Ronald Reagan

Here are some bonus inspirational quotes

Limits, like fear, is often an illusion.
Michael Jordan

The limits of the possible can only be defined by going beyond them into the impossible.
Arthur C. Clarke

It is our duty as men and women to proceed as though the limits of our abilities do not exist.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
