Before the money came

There was a system called feudalism. Feudalism was a system that existed in the Europe during the Middle Ages, in which Nobles would give protection and land to people who worked and fought for the Nobles. Feudalism was a society which did not really work that well and did not involve a currency exchange or an economy. That is why I say before the money came there was feudalism. Now, I really have to believe that there was some style of economy and some type of currency and exchange going on at the same time as feudalism but it was not something accepted by the ruling bodies.  Feudalism was primarily a European state of human society, the Romans practiced clientelism. Clientelism involved however the exchange of goods and or services, this exchange made it a totally different system than feudalism. Currently most of the world lives in a society that uses capitalism. Goods and services are purchased with capital from a country.

As a interested viewer of history, I think that, Feudalism failed because, it gave far to much power to the nobles. At the whim of a noble, a man woman or child could be without, home, food and or protection.  Clientelism worked sort of but there had to be some standards set and the Romans worked hard at this but found that people liked many goods and services so in came capitalism and free markets. Most of the time free markets and capitalism works, but I am not sure about you, but when, I typed the line that said “a man woman or child could be without, home, food and or protection”, I thought to myself about how I have seen this happen to people who live today in a capital society system.

The story is different for everyone who finds him or herself without food, shelter or protection, but there are many.

See the thing about any society system is that it (the system) is only as good as it’s participants.

A society, that can see men, women and children who are destitute desperate, and not employ compassionate help and support will fail, no matter how great an socioeconomic structure it uses (cause I mean I really think that capitalism is more of a socioeconomic structure than just a social one).  So what does all of this mean?

Well for me a society is made up of people and I am one of those people so for me, I have to remind myself daily that a compassionate act for my fellow human is an act to help promote my society.

Even the smallest one can make huge differences…

“A little “thank you” that you will say to someone for a “little favour” shown to you is a key to unlock the doors that hide unseen “greater favours”. Learn to say “thank you” and why not?”

“Without water drops, there can be no oceans; without steps, there can be no stairs; without little things, there can be no big things!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan

Without men and women acting with compassion and honesty all is lost. So today lets all help each other out as much as we can
