You will never get it back

It’s Tuesday and chances are good that, you spent yesterday at work. Eight hours or more were spent at work I’m sure you were reimbursed but one thing you will never get back. Don’t get me wrong I think work is important and I understand that it has to get done but I have to stop and question the way we work. Why 8 hour days why 40 hour weeks? Between Monday and Friday the average American will work 40 hours. Between Monday at 9am and Friday at 6 pm there are 105 hours we should get at least 6 hours of sleep per night so that means we sleep for 24 hours so there are 64 hours of 100 between sleep and work and now we only own 36 hours. I’m not accounting for commutes and overtime either. Pretty depressing right? I did not intend to create a depressing post, that is not me. But, in traffic coming home yesterday, late afternoon I realized two things first was, that we sell a lot of our time away and should be judicial with our money. That money represents our time and time is something that we can never get back. Before we spend we should definitely consider what we are getting in return. will what we buy for an hours wage give us an hours worth of pleasure? The second thing I realized is that time is precious and it should also not be wasted. We never get time back and yet we waste so much on awful things like; anger, jealousy, and pettiness. Instead we should live life as if it is a celebration. Hug the ones we love and be grateful for everything.
I hope you have a great day today all 24 hours of it
