The thing about Hope and Energy

I only circled the parking lot once this morning before parking and coming into the office. No, my space was not taken, and there wasn’t a penny or quarter on the ground, I was listening to a song. I know that I could have simply plugged in my headphones and finished listening to it while walking into the office but I don’t know, this song is a good one and I didn’t want to break it up like that.

The song was Ronan by Taylor Swift and it is a tear jerker folks. The song is based on a website that Taylor Swift read about a four-year-old boy, Ronan Thompson, who died from neuroblastoma in 2011. The song is a series of quotes tied together from the blogs author Ronans mom.

There’s a line in the song and the quotes of Ronan’s mom; ” I remember the drive home, when the blind hope turned to crying and screaming why. ”

I didn’t study a lot of physics but I know about “the Conservation of energy”. I am sure you do too but I will explain it again for my own edification because it is pretty cool. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it remains constant in the system. So, energy transforms from one form to another.

Allow me to wax philosophical here, is that cool? thanks. Hope works in the same way as energy it’s just harder to see. We hope that we can protect our loved ones from all harm especially our children, then when we can’t we hope that others can, then when they can’t we hope for others to do that protection then when death comes in we hope that we will see them again in eternity and that we will honor their legacy. Hope didn’t go anywhere it just changed form.  It’s really hard to find it sometimes when it changes quickly and drastically and changes hands but it is still there, you may just have to look really hard or get some help from your family and friends. It’s there though all is not lost all is never lost it’s just different.
