You got what you wanted but…

It seems like every 2 to 3 years I see in the TV cycle of programs, a special air, about men and women who won the lottery. The lottery winners take-home literally, millions of dollars. The programs continue after the take-home of millions of dollars and usually the heroes of the program do not end well. Many loose the millions of dollars and enter into poverty.

Do you work? Why are you working? Chances are you are working for money. So the goal of modern work is money and many would say that lottery winners of millions of dollars are pictures of success, but what now?

In an English class I was tasked to review Macbeth and of course I pointed to the internal conflict in Macbeth between morals and ambition. Macbeth’s ambition got the better of him and he became king through murder. After becoming king Macbeth’s guilt drove him insane.

I immediately assumed that, you were seeking monetary success and I wish you luck but I will warn you that, success that is made or retained through  poor morals always seems to be disastrous.  I would go as far to say that a successful person is a moral person and not a rich one. But that’s just me

happy Friday
